The Man With Two Brains.

I haven’t updated in a little while and apologize to the ten people that actually check this. I’m really going to try to update every other day or so. We’ll see if that really happens or not. Thanks for looking.

The Ghost of Tom Berg.

Since my last post I was lucky enough to go on a trip to New York City. We met up with professional traveler/beard grower and world renown piercer J Colby Smith. Colby, Mike and I braved the “red eye” flight and wound up with a cab driver named Park. That’s right, Park. He reminded me of the guy on Bloodsport that says “O.K. U.S.A.!” … what a loser. The French brothers were nice enough to let us stay with them and once we got settled in the three hours of airplane sleep seemed to be enough for us so we went to Manhattan to eat breakfast. I’m sure you don’t care about my trip so I’ll condense, Dunkin’ Donuts, Whole Foods, Union Square, Watched Antichrist, I didn’t get tattooed, saw Dan Higgs art show. Dan Higgs’ tattoo portfolio, Visited many tattoo shops, The Strand bookstore, Baltimore sucks, Ringworm was awesome, Gehenna was a joke, the first 30 minutes of “Waiting…” once sometimes twice a day, Coty Densley launched a record label, Dave Moench has sideburns, and last but not least 5 consecutive days of ”would you rather”. It was a great trip, here are some tattoos I’ve done recently and a white car that had it’s back window smashed out then fixed, and my dog. Thanks for looking.

New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly? I’d Rather Chew Broken Glass.

I’ve done a bunch of awesome tattoos recently but, due to my crippling photography skills I can’t post them. So I guess I’m going to try and patch that hole before my proverbial ship sinks. Have a happy new year and be safe.

Some Like It Hot… Utah doesn’t.

The cold weather brings out the worst in me, but I got to do some more Tahiti Felix flash this week so that’s good, thanks Nikka.

When you find my body, don’t believe the suicide note.

I did this nurse on my friend Mike, he’s as real as they get. More to come soon.

Looks like rain, with a chance of mediocrity.

IMG_1021IMG_1034Well, So far Gailon has been the only person to take me up on my offer. I can take refuge in the fact that at least there’s one person that can see this for what it is. Thanks man.

I’ll Never Love Anything Else…

This is an original “Tahiti” Felix Lynch flash sheet from the 1950’s. Since it is a true piece of tattoo history I feel like I should acknowledge that. I will tattoo each of these designs for $50.00. I will only tattoo each design one time for that price, after that the deal is off the table. I am doing this to show my gratitude to these designs, and to hopefully inspire some interest in the history of tattooing. This is so much more than some bullshit T.V. show or an over priced clothing line.

In the Meantime

So my wife and I just celebrated our second anniversary. We went to sunny San Diego, California, and aside from the bikini clad homeless women and California’s all-around lack of tradition we both had an amazing time. I got an original “Tahiti” Felix Lynch flash sheet from the guys at Master Tattoo, since they were only selling a handful I feel lucky to have one. Master Tattoo was established in 1949 and is one of the oldest tattoo shops in the country. You should check them out if you’re ever in their neck of the hoods.

Traffic School

I had to go to traffic school tonight. I don’t know how I talked myself into thinking it was going to be like Night Court the TV show, but I did. And to my dismay, Harry the lovable, magical judge was replaced with a short, old, bitter ex-cop that was semi charismatic and seemed to talk faster than the words could come out. Although I could relate to his unfortunate “speech bump” I was very guarded during class and refused to say what I was “in” for. I’m not going to tell you either, haha. Here’s some tattoos I made. I hope you like them.

Good Luck.

Hopefully this blog will document my daily or maybe weekly efforts to better myself in the tattooing trade. My goal is to move forward with one hand on progress and the other on tradition. I’m sure if I press hard enough I’ll leave my fingerprint.
